"Cowper's Cross is thought to date back to the 12th century AD. It stands beside an old Roman road that crosses Rombald’s Moor and once provided a link between the West Yorkshire towns of Keighley and Ilkley.

The origins of the cross are uncertain but it is probably named after the Ilkley family of Cawper. The original shaft of the cross bore four cup-markings implying that it was extremely old and possibly even a Christianized monolith."

Martin,
Your images are always an inspiration.

Love this. The textures in the stone and the path leading in to (or out of?) the image works really well. Very good indeed,

Garry

Thank you Doug and Gary, its a hard slog getting to this carrying a 4x5, lens and tripod
My original intention was to do a long exposure on Fuji Acros but the clouds and wind eased as I got there, so no chance of that hence the static Tmax change of plan.
